    this actually looks cool as it is. The flowers really stand out, they look 3D.

      And yes, the flowers are actually real 🙂 I’m exploring with incorporating more nature within my pieces (quite literally). I want to depict the ‘Spring of 2013’ and decided to press flowers I’ve collected on my outings. Although, at this rate, the ‘Spring 2013 Drawing Meditation’ may be done in the fall.

        Isn’t it always the case, haha… Hmm, real flowers – so it’s multimedia! 🙂 But do you have a way to preserve them, so they don’t go brittle?

        hahaha…good question – I’m learning! 😉 It’s my first attempt, so some of them have chipped away and I’m having to improvise w/more drawing in its place. I’m finding that simple white, clear-drying, liquid glue works nicely and then plan to finish the piece off with a clear sealant once I’m done! We’ll see – definitely an experimental piece.
