You can’t win them all…

Remember back a bit when my “Sanibel Drawing Meditation‘ piece was in the semi-finals for the UncommonGoods Art Contest…well, first of all, thank you all again for your votes and support!!! I wouldn’t have come so far without your help. Secondly, I must share that unfortunately, I wasn’t chosen as the grand winner – but hey, try, try again, right? I am so happy to have made it as far as I did! I also received some nice commentary from the judges. And anyway, in the end, it’s the journey, not the destination. Thanks again guys, and here’s what the judges had to say:

-I like that she mixed modern with classic drawing
-The geometric shapes are interesting – I’m definitely drawn to them!
-It’s a mix of fun and appreciation for classic drawing.
-Composition is great.
